Bear Hug

Linda and David are a typical middle class, middle aged couple, with a once-perfect son.

But since he returned from University, their son Michael is a different person altogether. They don't understand how he can have changed so much and he has a new way of expressing himself. Premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in 2004, Bear Hug is a bold and tender story about alienation, families and learning to live with change.

Machinery Of Government

The junior minister for health wants to make an announcement, a big announcement, the more impressive the better.

Bill, Ben and their editor want to turn the Minister into a figure of fun, after all fun sells more papers. Who will win? Find out in Machinery of Government, another original play from the Woodhouse players.

Last Tango In Little Grimley

Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society is in trouble.

The membership has dwindled to four - the audiences aren't much bigger - and if they don't come up with some rent money soon, they're going to be thrown out. "There's only one thing that sells tickets these days" argues Gordon the Chairman. "Sex!". Thus begins the chaotic and hilarious build-up to an evening of extraordinary home-grown drama - an evening the locals would never forget!
