"What's happening to us isn't painful. It's untenable, it's eating our hearts away. It's like having the whole of your life wiped out and only this one thing remains: he's disappeared and he's not coming back and we're never going to find out what happened."

When Nick and Lia’s son disappears while travelling overseas, all they have is an email saying he was thinking of going to Jakarta, leaving them trapped in grief and uncertainty. Anxious for any news, the couple turn to any means possible to find out what has happened to their son. Out of the blue the phone rings, but is it the call they've been waiting for?

Love, fear, loathing and manipulation combine to make this a  psychological drama which balances suspense and comedy, exploring the lengths to which people will go to find the missing pieces of their lives.
