Play Reading: Design for Living by Noël Coward

There will be a play reading next Wednesday, 25th February at 7.00pm, of Design for Living by Noël Coward.  A play that could possibly be proposed for one of the slots later this year.

This is a 1932 comedy about a trio of artistic characters, Gilda, Otto and Leo, and their complicated three-way relationship. It was originally written as a star vehicle for Lynn Fontanne, Alfred Lunt, and Coward himself.

Coward said of the play: "These glib, over-articulate and amoral creatures force their lives into fantastic shapes and problems because they cannot help themselves. Impelled chiefly by the impact of their personalities each upon the other, they are like moths in a pool of light, unable to tolerate the lonely outer darkness but equally unable to share the light without colliding constantly and bruising each other's wings...."

Please contact Gill on gill.gilltaylor@gmail.com if you would like to come and need a copy of the script.
