In 2004, The Woodhouse Players entered the national 24 hour filmmaking competition. This was our entry.
Drawing the genre "Revenge" and the title "Don't Start From Here" at random, we had just 24 hours to plot, costume, film, edit and score this movie. Using the title as our inspiration we decided to make a movie about how acts of revenge, shocking though they are, have reasons behind them. Depending on where you start in the story, you get a different idea of whom to sympathise with.
The story begins with a violent act on Tony, a pianist. His friend and agent seeks revenge, but alongside his investigation, the backstory of the attack also unfolds in reverse order.
